Independence Matters has worked with TIPS and specifically Julian over the last two years in a variety of ways; Julian has supported the Company Board and Senior Team to shape the values and mission. Julian has worked with the Quality and Compliance Director to develop bespoke training for all the managers and the Senior Team in terms of Leadership, engagement, culture and time effectiveness. Julian has also provided 1 to 1 and group coaching for managers. We have also accessed the CMI Management courses. We have found Julian’s wealth of skill and knowledge from his own management background gives a solid foundation to being able to listen, understand, consider, explore and develop the bespoke workshops to meet out outcomes focused learning needs. Julian has helped our leaders to self-reflect and develop their skills to be more adaptable and creative in managing change as the pace of our change has accelerated greatly, and Julian has assisted us to find ways to deal creatively with this fact of modern life and the need to face and manage change in a constructive way. All of our managers and Senior Team have greatly valued Julian’s involvement and we look forward to working together again in the future. Rosie Lovemore, Quality and Compliance Director, Independence Matters

The workshops that TIPS provided during our tender presentation rehearsals were key in ensuring that we delivered our message in a professional but engaging manner. We all gained valuable communication skills which will help each individual in the future. Testament to the success of the workshops is that the customer highlighted our tender presentation and the individuals presenting as the deciding factor in selecting May Gurney. Edward Quinn – Regeneration Manager, May Gurney Ltd

“ The qualification was chosen by the directors of our company, as a high level training and achievement process so that all managers are able to confidently work to a good level or above within their business areas. I have found that the benefits have been many, such as analising the performance of processes and systems, which has then progressed to increased efficiency, and reduced costs. It has also given us a good awareness of Strategic planning and why change is necessary in order for the company to grow and be more competitive, and finally, to have a greater understanding of my own abilities including strength’s and weaknesses. All in all, a great course, and well delivered.“ James Hall, Income Stream Manager – Academy, 3sun Academy Limited

The Money Centre

The Money Centre worked with Julian to come up with a framework for the company culture that could be rolled out to all staff. Julian provided invaluable help and guidance, without being prescriptive, which resulted in several initiatives to improve communication in particular. We also worked together on an assessment for team leaders and a training programme for our sales consultants. This training was even attended by some of our self employed consultants who had to fund the cost themselves – this is testimony to how successful the training was. D.B, The Money Centre

In a previous company, I used Tips for Good Management to assist us to turn around what was a failing company. What they helped us to achieve was truly incredible; we developed processes, teamwork, solved equipment and resource problems and most importantly made a profit from a substantial loss situation. We turned planned layoffs into new hires, empty order books to healthy ones – and all in a mere 10 months. All of the training paid for itself within 4 weeks. Needless to say, now as the managing director of another company, I still work with Julian and his team! Kevin Keable – Managing Director, Oilennium

We asked TIPS to provide our Management Team, at quite short notice, with some specialised training in how to deliver Performance Appraisal Reviews. The dedicated one-day programme that was put together specially for us, and was delivered in-house, more than met our requirements. It was an exceptionally well-delivered, easily digestible and totally interactive session that ensured that everyone benefited fully. Andrew Brammer (Commercial Director: PSS – Steering & Hydraulics Division)
